We started this month off with a QUESTION OF THREE’S hosted by David Smalley at Runcton Holme Social Club, David gave a very good talk on his recent navigating experiences in three different cars with three different drivers on three very different events. It was an interesting evening with several members and non-members attending finishing with a question-and-answer session. We hope to have more evenings like these with different speakers later in the year.
Next up was the Snetterton Stages Rally with several crews out competing and many members on marshalling duties.
Rod Kitchen driving his Peugeot 205 with Aaron Rix on the maps, with conditions damp and slippery for most of the day Rob finished 35th overall and 9th in class 5.
Chris Cockrell was driving a Mini R50 he had a few problems on stage 1 but was able to get back to service and sort the issue, he got out again and finished all the remaining stages to finishing 53rd overall and 9th in class 8.
Matt and Hannah Ellis in their Citroen Saxo VTS, unfortunately had some fuel issues on stage 1, missing the second stage. They thought they had fixed the problem, going back out on stage three but encountered more fuel issues which they were unable to fix this time, and they had to retire from the event, better luck next time.
