Full Chat – May 2025

Welcome to Full Chat – members have been busy this month – starting off with David Smalley navigating for Aaron Rix in his 1400cc Ford Escort at the Fulbeck Stages on May 4th, finishing 8th O/A and 1st in class a great result well done to both.

Following this on May 7th was our first Gymkhana of the summer, held at a new venue organised by Joe and Dale Glover, which was a great success with 10 people taking part. David Smalley took the win from Rob Kitchen and Jonathan Stimpson 3rd. A great evening was had by all who took part, with tea, coffee and biscuits at the end for marshals and entrants.

On Saturday 10th May Dale Glover with David Smalley navigating competed on the Border Counties Rally in the Alfa Sud, finishing 40th O/A and 3rd in class also Dale received an award for best prepared car from the Scrutineers well done to you both on a great result.

Our first Friday Classic run out was on 16th May. Adrian had sorted a nice run through West Norfolk countryside; the event had a good turnout and was very popular with 22 people attending the event, culminating with a nice meal at The Three Horseshoes, Roydon

Following this on Sunday 18th the club attended the Stody Classic Car Day & open gardens, we had four cars attending this which was our first time at this venue, run for the MIND Charity we were able to walk round the gardens, also there was various stalls selling tea/ coffee/ cakes and plants, hopefully we There’s a lot more coming up through the summer months so keep a look out for more information.

Our next gymkhana is on 4th June at Chapel Barn, Eastmoor, PE33 9QA organised by Paul Haylock, competitors and marshals are needed please contact: Paul at paulnhaylock@btinternet.com or 07730 985639.

Classics on the Green at Massingham on 7th June from 10am, watch out for more details.

Then on 27th June will be our next Friday Classic run out, starting from Hylton Gott at Crimplesham and finishing at George and Dragon at Wereham, confirm your entry with Jody at jodywilson1@live.co. or 07960 220395
