We started this month with our 2nd Auto Test of the summer on the 5th which was held at Steve’s field at Eastmoor thanks for the use Steve, hope there was not to much damage to the grass this time !!! we had 8 teams taking part. 1st was Robin & Dick Lines on 364, 2nd Matthew & Diane Mantle 388, 3rd went to Ian & Ryan Pollard. Thanks for the marshals who came, without your help these events cannot go ahead, also thanks to Steve for the finger food at the end of the evening.
Then on the 8thwe had a club stand at Snettisham Fayre, we had 6 Cars taking part which again attracted some interest about the club with more pens, key rings and leaflets being handed out. The club stand is a great way of getting the club’s name about to people who may not know what we are about, so please support these things in the future.
26th July was our 48th Classic Car Rally with 64 cars taking part ranging from vintage (pre-1960), Historic (1960-1975), Post Historic classic (1976-1995) and Modern classic (1996-2011). Starting from Norfolk Leisure in Setchey, for a drive of around 53 miles through Norfolk to the lunch halt at Great Moulton, where some had a hot lunch in the marquee and the rest had a picnic on the grass in the sunshine. After lunch we then continued for 43 miles to the finish at Holkham Hall with presentation of trophies by 8th Earl of Leicester. Great event thanks for Adrian and the Classic Team.
