Full Chat – April 2026

Welcome to April’s Full Chat

On 27th March was our 3rd running of the Norfolk 12 Car series this time organised by SCCON called the Hare & Tortoise 12 Car, on roads in mid Norfolk which was won by John Peterson with Simon Hawken on the maps, 2nd place went to Paul Smalley this time with Mathew Smalley on the maps, 3rd was Aian Thompson with Arun Thompson on the maps, well done to all who took part also the marshals who gave up their time to stand out in the cold !!! The series resumes in September look out for more information.

On 28th March Dale Glover driving the Alfa Sud with David Smalley on the maps went to compete on the Get Jerky Stages Rally in North Wales, unfortunately things didn’t go as planned and they retired on stage 2 with engine problems, your luck will change soon and get the car to the end of the rally.

29th March was the Javelin Jumbo Targa rally at Wattisham Airfield, Jonathan Stimpson driving his BMW 318ti with Mark Banham on the maps 4th Overall and 4th in class. Rob Palmer driving his MGZR with Kevin Groom on the maps 17th Overall and 12th in class. Mark Banham driving his MG3 with Jonathan Stimpson on the maps finishing 27th Overall and 16th in class. well done all who took part.

17th April we had our first Friday night classic car run starting at Kim Ciarns Snettisham with a ride through some west Norfolk countryside and finishing at the Black Horse at Castle Rising, with 19 cars taking part this was a good turnout for our first one of the summer.

FUTURE EVENTS

On 15th May is our second Friday night classic run organised by Adrian Cunnington starting from Kings Lynn at 6:00pm, finishing with a meal at Brothers in Arms, Terrington St Clemment to book your place contact:- kldmc.classic@btinternet.com

17th May is our visit to Stody Open Gardens and Classic Car Show it’s free for driver of a classic car and £9 for passengers, Stody is famous for its Rhododendron and Azelia’s places are available and if you want to book please contact dave_ottoway@hotmail.co.uk or 07836 603272

24th May we have a large club stand at the Sandringham Pageant of Motoring, spaces still available if you want to show your rally car, targa car, classic car or anything interesting please contact:- dave_ottoway@hotmail.co.uk or 07836 603272 to book your place.

Hopefully going forward we should have our first Auto Test on 3rd June our at Steve’s at Eastmoor, keep a look out for more details coming soon.
