Full Chat – June 2026

Welcome everyone to Full Chat, it’s been another busy month for the club. We started off with our club stand at Sandringham Motoring Pageant a big thank you go out to all the members who brought their cars along 16 in total on the stand. It was a very hot and dusty day so a good job we had the club gazebo for some shade. The position of the stand this year was in much better place as we got more attention as people were walking past on the way in. So a great response from the members this year thank you again.

Members out competing, Mark Banham was on the notes for Jonathan Stimpson in his BMW ti at the Debden Targa Rally finishing 4th overall and 1st in class, Mark then drove his MG3 with Jonathan on the maps unfortunately he had a few problems but still managed to finish 15th overall 9th in class well done guys.

Dale Glover with David Smalley on the maps were out in the Alfa Sud in the Welsh forests on the Plains rally 2026

We found ourselves in North Wales enjoying the beautiful scenery and the amazing forestry tracks that Wales has to offer. Everything was going well and our confidence was building but a deflating tyre in stage four hampered our performance and knocked a little confidence in stage five. Stage 6 7 & 8 were mega and everything was working well. On arrival to the start control of stage 9 we were informed that a serious RTC had blocked a road section meaning competitors couldn’t get to the stages. This meant the last three stages would be cancelled. This meant we didn’t have enough mileage to try and get back up the 1400 standings, but the performance and teamwork was fantastic and hopefully we can carry on the momentum into the Nicky Grist stages in July. After stage 7 we finished 39th overall and 5th in the1400 class.

Thanks to Ben Lawrence for this brilliant photo.

On Wednesday 17th the NARS CPR refresher took place at Runcton Holme Social Club attended by 15 members we all had a practice performing CPR and were taught how to use a defibrillator, the evening was very informative as Lucy from NARS took us through our paces.

This Friday will be our 3rd Friday Classic Run, this time organised by Jody and Dave again attracting 18 cars. With the weather set fine it should be a nice drive out.

On Sunday 21st we will have 8 cars on the club stand at Hunstanton Carnival, held on the lower green in front of the pier building, so if any members are about come and say hello we will make you very welcome.
