Welcome to July’s Full Chat
With summer in full swing it’s been a busy month on the classic show scene some members went to Gt Massingham Classics on the Green on 7th June, following this on the 22nd we had a club stand at the Hunstanton Carnival on the lower green with 5 cars attending.
On 27th June it was Jody and Dave’s Friday Classic run out, an enjoyable evening event with a different finish. With 16 cars taking part and attracting some non-members who were encouraged to join the club. Well done on a great evening.
Our third Gymkhana was held on July 2nd at Steve’s field. a very warm and dusty evening with 11 crews taking part, won by Rob Kitchen from Dave Smalley in second and Dale Glover in third. Steve Tilburn got on the BBQ at the end of the evening to cook us some great food (I think Steve must be after an award for best chef in the club!!!).
On 6th July some members attended the SCCON Summer Classic run starting at Lotus cars and driving through some lovely Norfolk and Suffolk country roads, finishing near Diss and visiting four Second World War air bases on the way.
Three members from the club took their cars to Pott Row car show, not the best attended event but at least the sun was shining.
Then on 17th July it was Cars at the Mill at Bearts of Stowbridge. As usual this was a well attended event with a wide range of vehicles on show. A great evening meet with like-minded people.
