July Gymkhana Results

JULY 2014 GYMKHANA RESULTS

Hi All

Massive thank you to Mark Banham for finding the field and Mr Coe the landowner

Thanks To all the marshals, we had more of you than we had competitors.

Im not quite sure why we only had three entries but im not going to dwell on that, i did recieve appologies from 4 people.

It was a good evening with some well driven tests. Well done to Rob Kitchen you set some very fast test times and was very competitive on the untimed skill tests.

The event made a loss of £10 just on the permit and that doesnt take into account the cost of printing and copying. The events need 5 competitors to cover the cost of the permit alone.

Results from 11th June gymkhana,

Thanks  to Ed for organizing, Steve Tilburn for the use of the lawn and the fantastic BBQ and Refreshments after and Andy, Robert and Jody For Timekeeping.

It was a very plesant evening which i think everyone enjoyed. Was also good to see plenty of new people out for a play.

Congratulations to David Smalley for winning, It was very tight at the top as the results show.

Treasure Hunt answers and results

I was very pleased with how the Treasure Hunt turned out and that everybody enjoyed it. Congratulations to Helen and Paul Haylock on winning and a special thanks to Bob and Carole for photography on the day.
Here are the results and answers. The points are slightly different as each correct   pub/club should have 2 points as a correct answer rather than 1. But it has made no difference to the finishing order.
Thanks for all your support.
Best regards
Mark.

Easter Car Display

The display of Classic and rally cars from members of the Kings Lynn and District Motor Club attracted many admiring glances from the Saturday shoppers and Sunday strollers.
A big thank you to the generosity of the Kings Lynn people and the visitors who helped to raise over £800 in aid of the East Anglia Air Ambulance over the 2 days.
The public also voted for their favourite car on display and the winner was the beautifully restored Mk1 Ford Mexico owned by Steve Tilburn and prepared by Jody Wilson seen with their trophy in the attached picture.
The Ford polled 35 votes, 2nd was the Mini Cooper S (33 votes), 3rd was the pretty 1957 Jaguar XK140 (29 votes) and 4th was the 1960 Volvo PV544 (26 votes).

A big thank you also to all the club members who brought their cars and helped on the stand.
